So today we got better still with the time differences.
We woke up at 7:00 am. Ate breakfast at 8 am, and i still haven't really found anything i can eat other than baked beans and peaches, jt however is CHOWING.
9 am we boarded a bus and drove to Malahide Castle. This is a smaller castle but has HUGE grounds and is gorgeous. We got to the castle, and of course it starts raining. At this point we haven't really talked to anyone else in the group because of our sleeping. So we get introduced around and are now know EVERYWHERE as the honeymooners.
Malahide Castle does a awesome tour. This castle was in the Talbot (we think)family for 800 years. There are artifacts in there i would have killed to touch, including this library. OMG.. I could only spend 1 minute in that library before i was going to touch something. Some of those books were 400+ years old. So we took pictures around the grounds, hopefully soon to follow. They wouldn't let us take pictures or film inside.
After this we went to the Botanical Gardens. Alright. Apparently I'm not good at riding in a bus for long periods of time while trying to look at EVERYTHING outside. Once again, Meagan is bus sick. yay. We walked around the gardens, so freaking beautiful. They had trees that were 250 years old, and this one tree that was the last of its species. The lilies were beautiful and that is a ROSE garden. Hundred upon hundreds of roses all different colors and smells and sizes. Just amazing.
We get back to the room, and promptly pass out. Now we are supposed to meet the group for dinner at 6:30. We woke up at 6:25. we dressed in a RUSH, got onto the bus very sleepy-eyed and rode to a place called Abbey Tavern. Now we thought it was just going to be dinner so we left our camera in the hotel. Nope.
Abbey Tavern was like a dinner show. We sat down, they fed us. The soup was AMAZING. Cream of Leek and Potato Soup. I could have eaten 10 servings. The Corned Beef, Irish manna!!, was...disappointing. The was Apple tart with fresh cream was ok. The Bailey's Coffee...we passed off to our tour members. After dinner they started with the entertainment. 2 guitars, 1 fiddle and a female singer. The fiddler was AMAZING. the singer was, eh., she did a good Danny Boy. The two guitarist were the life of the act. Then there were river dance girls. 3 girls. 2 were very good, 1 was OK (she actually did an interpretive dance...odd). We regret not getting it on film.
We got back to the hotel around 11 pm. this is noon hawaii time. A little while later we got hungry and headed out once again to our good old pizza place. Hurray for late night fast food.

Seriously, if I ever had my choice of instruments to know how to play (NOT learn because that would take too long), it would be the fiddle. NOT the violin, the fiddle. Thank goodness for late-night pizza places!
