After graduation with an Associates Degree in the Culinary Arts from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, I decided that the best route was to return and to get another degree; this time an Associates degree in Baking and Pastry.
I decided to do this because if someday I was to control a restaurant, I should know all the positions in the kitchen and understand the work and dedication that comes with them. I had experience in all the positions of the hot side of the kitchen, and by taking the baking side I can better understand the bread and dessert composition of the kitchen, and I can understand their needs.
